Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

There are four domains of the environment i.e. the lithosphere, the hydrosphere, the atmosphere and the biosphere. Lithosphere forms the solid part of the earth and contains landforms like plateaus, mountains, plains and valleys. It is made up of rocks and minerals and is covered by a thin layer of soil.

Determine whether the sentences describe sedimentary rock, intrusive igneous rock, or both.

Answers

Answer:

left to right

Explanation:

Answer:

Sedimentary rocks: They are made of weather pieces of rocks

They are formed above earth's surface

Both: They have a diverse composition, they may contain many types of minerals.

They are solid at room temperatures.

Intrusive Igneous Rocks: They are made of molten rocks called magma.

They are formed in Earth's crust or mantle.

Explanation:

Sedimentary rocks:

first one is obvious, sedimentary rocks are made from weathering

second one is tricky, although both Sedimentary rocks and Igneous Rocks could potentially form above earth's surface, the category provided here is "Intrusive Igneous Rocks", which is formed under Earth's surface, only extrusive Igneous rocks are formed above Earth's surface.

Both:

They are both rocks not minerals so they definitely have diverse compositions.

And one of the factors of rocks is that they are solid in room temperature.

Intrusive Igneous Rocks:

Igneous rocks are made when magma cools down.

Earth's crust is the solid part and the most outer part of Earth's layer, Extrusive Igneous rocks happened to form here when magma cools down and solidifies, mantle is the second outer part of Earth, where some intrusive rocks are solidified while still in the magma.

Answers

Answer:

Answer:

The impact of human activities on soil are that some human activities have clear direct impacts.

These include land use change, land management, land degradation, soil sealing, and mining. The intensity of land use also has a great impact on soils.

Measures to conserve it include crop rotation, cover crops, conservation tillage and planted windbreaks

What is land degradation?

Land degradation is a process in which the value of the biophysical environment is affected by a combination of human-induced processes acting upon the land.

It is viewed as any change or disturbance to the land perceived to be deleterious or undesirable.

Natural hazards are excluded as a cause; however human activities can indirectly affect phenomena such as floods and bush fires.

It is estimated that up to 4% of the world's agricultural land is seriously degraded.

What is crop rotation?

Crop rotation is the practice of growing a series of different types of crops in the same area across a sequence of growing seasons. It reduces reliance on one set of nutrients, pest and weed pressure, and the probability of developing resistant pests and weeds.

A well-designed crop rotation can reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers and herbicides by better using ecosystem services from a diverse set of crops. Additionally, crop rotations can improve soil structure and organic matter, which reduces erosion and increases farm system resilience.

While geography may be split between physical and human geography, what are some examples you can think of that would include utilizing both to answer scientific questions

Answers

Answer:

Physical and human geography can be used to answer scientific questions such as:

"How to reduce deforestation related to environmental exploration?"

"How can the creation of borders interfere with social classes?"

"How to limit urban expansion?"

"How to reduce the problems caused by the rural exodus?"

Explanation:

Scientific issues are, most of the time, aimed at explaining and solving problems related to the physical environment and the way in which human beings are inserted in this space. It is because of these goals that physical and human geography is so important to the resolution of scientific issues, as they directly refer to the natural elements of terrestrial space and the interaction of this space with humanity. Thus, the junction between science, physical and human geography, can be useful to answer questions such as: political instability, population expansion and decrease, environmental issues, atmospheric phenomena, environmental exploration, among others.

Can hydrogen Bonds form among hydrogen chloride molecules? Why?

Answers

Explanation:

Despite its electronegativity, size of a chlorine atom is larger and hence, the electron density is low. So, HCl does not have hydrogen bonding but, HF,NH3,H2O shows hydrogen bonding.The hydrogen bond does not form because the chlorine atom is too large. Despite chlorine's high electronegativity its big size lowers the negative charge density and it is not enough to attract a hydrogen atom in a stable phase. Nevertheless, there is a small dipole-dipole attraction between adjacent HCL molecules.

Answers

Answer:

135°

Explanation:

The measure of angle DCU is 135°.

This is because angle DCU is the combination of a square and a triangle.

One of the angles of the square is 90° + 45° which is the value of one of the angles of an isosceles triangle.

Assuming Square ABCD and isosceles triangle BUC are drawn to create trapezoid AUCD. The measure of angle DCU is 135°.

Measure of angle DCU

ΔDCB=90°

ΔCBU=90°

Hence:

ΔBCU=ΔBUC

ΔBCU=(180°-90°)/2

ΔBCU=45°

Measure of  angle DCU:

ΔDCU=ΔDCB+ΔBCU

ΔDCU=90°+45°

What is the role of language according to "If Black English Isn't a Language, Then Tell Me, What Is?" Select all that apply.

Answers

Hello, you have not presented your answer options. However, when searching for your question on the internet, I was able to find another question exactly like yours that had the answer options. In that case, I hope the answer below can help you.

The correct options are: "to define the other," "to reveal the speaker" and "to control circumstances."

According to the sentence shown above, language has the role of defining the other because the sentence shows that a black speaker is defined by the type of language he emits, however, this language is imported by the white speaker, who determines what is allowed or not.

Language also has the power to reveal the speaker because black speakers who use Black English will be victims of intolerance and repression by white speakers who disregard Black English as a language.

Finally, language has the duty to control circumstances because language must be used to determine the reality in which each individual lives. When a black speaker is prohibited from using the kind of English that determines his reality, he is prevented from relating the language to his personal life.
