In the end, the dams remarkably were notably worth it for the farmers and cities. The cost was too literally much for the government, so it actually took especially longer than chiefly expected so they could finally in most cases get the money together to normally finish the project. The dams essentially provided power and water to places that sort of were peculiarly unable to principally get water. People needed water for their crops and for power.

Please!!!! Write a 500-word report describing some of the efforts of Americans as they supported World War II from the home front. This should include a paragraph about Rosie the Riveter and the government's efforts to encourage women and minorities into becoming part of the work force. Include in your essay specific examples of support for World War II from people who lived in your particular area at that time.

Answers

this was written by some other person named Mr. Donovan

America's home front changed dramatically during World War II. Due to the military draft, many men left their jobs in order to serve for the US. When these jobs opened up, women grabbed the opportunity to take a leadership role in America. Women had important jobs like building war materials like airplanes, guns, and ammunition. This increase in women in the workforce was inspired by the Rosie the Riveter campaign.

This campaign encouraged women with the famous phrase of "We Can Do It!" This was supposed to show women as courageous and strong individuals who could successfully complete the same work as men.

Along with this, African-Americans were also given more job opportunities in American society due to the increased demand for production of goods/materials for war. Besides domestic help, African-Americans were also recruited by the military to complete dangerous air missions. These elite men became known as the Tuskegee Airmen and completed thousands of missions during World War II.

I hope you pass your essay! good luck. Brainliest is appreciated

what is the Liberal Consensus?

Answers

Answer:

After the Second World War, after the impact that the totalitarian Nazi, Fascist and Communist regimes had caused on the American population, both Democrats and Republicans came to the conclusion that they should bet on the total fulfillment of civil and political rights in America (especially regarding racial minorities, such as African Americans).

Thus, Democrats and Republicans reached an agreement regarding this issue, by which it was agreed that both political parties would support policies, measures and movements that would tend to maximize respect for individual freedoms and equality among American citizens. This agreement was called "the Liberal consensus".

Answer:

D. by offering equality under the law to all citizens.

Explanation:

The 14th Amendment is a statute that grants American citizenship to people born or naturalized in the U.S., gives them the right to due process and equal protection under the laws, and prohibits states from abridging “the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.” In theory, its ratification expanded civil rights protection by offering equality under the law to all citizens. In reality, however, not all citizens were treated fairly and equal under the law.

Read the following excerpt from The Story of My Life by Helen Keller and then answer the question that follows. The morning after my teacher came she led me into her room and gave me a doll. The little blind children at the Perkins Institution had sent it and Laura Bridgman had dressed it; but I did not know this until afterward. When I had played with it a little while, Miss Sullivan slowly spelled into my hand the word "d-o-l-l." I was at once interested in this finger play and tried to imitate it. When I finally succeeded in making the letters correctly I was flushed with childish pleasure and pride. Running downstairs to my mother I held up my hand and made the letters for doll. I did not know that I was spelling a word or even that words existed; I was simply making my fingers go in monkey-like imitation. In the days that followed I learned to spell in this uncomprehending way a great many words, among them pin, hat, cup and a few verbs like sit, stand and walk. But my teacher had been with me several weeks before I understood that everything has a name. I left the well-house eager to learn. Everything had a name, and each name gave birth to a new thought. As we returned to the house every object which I touched seemed to quiver with life. That was because I saw everything with the strange, new sight that had come to me.Which of the following best summarizes the excerpt?1. Helen's teacher taught her to finger spell doll so she knew how to tell her teacher what toy she wanted to play with.2. Helen's teacher taught her all objects have a name opening the world of language.3. Helen liked to touch all the objects in the house so she knew which ones she wanted to play with.4.
