The tone of “Dust of Snow” is light and cheerful. It reflects the change that has already taken place in the poet's heart from sullen to joyful, after the shower of snowflakes upon himself. The "Dust of Snow" means the fine particles of snow. The falling of snow on the poet changes his mood. The soft and cold touch of snow changed the poet's mood from sad to happy. Now he feels revived and obliged to the beauty of nature. The poem has a gloomy tone and reflect Blake's un happiness with his life on where he lives. Blake thinks that the snow is simple, soft, and sweet but then when it melts away it's dead, a crime.
