The length of the side of a square that has an area of 10 square yards ______.
Answer:
10 yards
Explanation:
to find the side of a square yard
area of square = side ×side
10 square yards
100 = x × x
100 = [tex]x^{2}[/tex]
x = [tex]\sqrt{100\\}[/tex]
x =10
so it length of the side is 10 yards not square yards
The correct answer to the given question is given and explained below:
A square is multiplied by its area
x * x
10 * 10 = 100
then we take square root of the area
[tex]\sqrt{100}[/tex]
When we calculate square root of 100 the answer is 10 which is the answer to the given question. That is 10 yards.

write a letter to the editor Junior graphic for publication, suggesting three ways checking poor disposal of waste in you area
Number 30 Allen Avenue,
England.
30th August, 2021.
To the Editor,
Junior Graphic.
WAYS OF CHECKING POOR DISPOSAL OF WASTE IN ALLEN AVENUE
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter meets you well. I am nothing but a concerned citizen who is concerned about the environmental situation in my beloved Allen Avenue.
It is no longer secret that the waste disposal in Allen Avenue has failed in properly carrying out their duties and as a result of this, the citizens have failed to be more responsible and now throw their refuse in any corner they see fit, which has led to serious waste problems in Allen Avenue.
Below are some of my suggestions in handling this issue. Firstly,the waste disposal authorities should be prompted into action and sanitize the city as this has been long overdue.
Secondly, anybody found guilty of improper waste disposal in the community should be made to pay a fine and do community service of clean up.
Lastly, there should be proper education of the masses about the dangers of poor waste disposal.
Thank you for your time.
Yours faithfully,
James Gordon.

Which of the following is NOT a way that writers typically build suspense in narrative writing?
Question 3 options:
using sentence structure to quicken or slow the pacing of a scene
using foreshadowing to hint at what's to come
using atypical punctuation to confuse the reader
ending the story or a scene with a cliffhanger to leave the reader on edge
Answer:
i think that it is C. using atypical punctuation to confuse the reader
Explanation:
It just does not seem like an author would do that. Atypical basically means unusual, or not typical. So why would a writer use unusual PUNCTUATION to CONFUSE the reader? It just doesn't make any sense to build suspense in this way.
I'm not 100% sure this is right, but if it is then great lol.

Growing up, Rosa Parks faced a lot of unkindness. She was born in 1913 and lived in Alabama. At that point in history, the South still had laws that enforced the cruel practice of segregation. These laws were responsible for withholding equality from African Americans. The freedoms of African Americans were repressed and it seemed as though there was nothing anyone could do. By the time Rosa Parks was a young woman, she found these disgraceful laws unfairly enforced on a small section of society. On December 1, 1955, she refused to give up her seat in the front of a bus in Montgomery for a white passenger.
Her impressive action broke the law and started a court case that ultimately overturned the unbearable segregation laws. This courageous woman helped shake up a system desperately in need of reprogramming and helped to gain equality for everyone.

Think about your own culture, or a friend whose family has a different culture than yours.
Have you observed the three traits superiority, insecurity, and grit in different ways in
people from different cultures? Do you feel that your culture values one of these traits over
the other two?
Answer:
I have observed with someone was a friend that was Filipino culture traits were different from mine such as cleaning. When it came to cleaning I noticed this person didn’t have Clorox bleach, Lysol, pine sol, and etc when it came to those products. I also noticed they did not keep medicine/first aid such as peroxide,alcohol, advil, Tylenol, allergy medicine, and etc. They gave me this mint bottle and it was to be rubbed where any pain or anything was which did help. I think my culture definitely values medicine and strong chemical products because we don’t use the type of material in the same household when it comes to those situations.

Travaris had always loved singing, but he was still stunned when he landed the lead role in the school musical. He could barely wait to tell his parents the news. But when he made his announcement over dinner, they looked at each other and frowned. "You said the performance was the week of May 13?" his dad asked. Travaris's heart sank. Of course. His older sister was getting married in Hawaii that week. "I'm sorry, but you'll just have to tell them that you can't do it," his mom said. The next day at school, Travaris planned to tell Ms. Phelps, the theater director, that she should give his part to someone else because he wouldn't be in town during the performance. But all day he was bombarded with congratulations from his classmates for getting the lead role. He didn't have the heart to tell them that it was all for nothing because he couldn't even be in the play. Travaris told his mom that he was staying after school to help out with set design, but really he was reading his lines, singing the songs, learning the dance numbers, and even getting fitted for costumes. It couldn't hurt to enjoy being the star of the play for a little bit, could it? But as the weeks went by, Travaris started to feel guiltier and guiltier. He knew that the longer be put off dropping out of the play, the more he would hurt the rest of the cast and crew. Finally, Travaris told Ms. Phelps how he couldn't be in the musical. Ms. Phelps thanked him for letting her know. "But don't forget to audition again next year," she added with a wink.
