Why Print text over electronic ?

Answers

Print is visually less demanding than digital text. It provides spatial and tactile cues to help readers process words on a page. Mindset may also be a factor. If people associate screen time with casual web-surfing they may rush through without fully absorbing the text.

(a) Anger is nothing but a vice. (Affirmative)
(b) So, we should control it for our own sake. (passive)
(c) The bee is a special type of insect. (Negative)
(d) It's duty is to fly from flower to flower to collect honey. (Interrogative)
(e) Honey is collected without any rest. (Active)

Answers

I looked this question up. Apparently, we should make the changes without changing the meanings of the sentences.

Answer:

1. Anger is a vice.

2. So, it should be controlled by us for our own sake.

3. The bee is nothing but a special type of insect.

4. Is its duty to fly from flower to flower to collect honey?

5. They collect honey without any rest.

Explanation:

The phrase "to be nothing but..." is negative, but it can be used to say the same thing an affirmative sentence does. Example: You are cray! = You are nothing but crazy! In the active voice, the subject of the sentence is also the performer of the action. In the passive voice, the subject is the receiver of the action. The performer appears in the form of agent, after the preposition "by". Example: I cut the tree. (active) = The tree was cut by me. (passive)If a sentence has the auxiliary verb "to be", in order to make it interrogative, we must place the auxiliary before the subject. Example: It is time to go. (affirmative) = Is it time to go? (interrogative)

How does Anne's use dialogue to show how Hello feels
toward her?
O Anne shows that he does not like her.
O Anne shows that he likes her, but he is shy.
* Anne shows that he likes her and wants everyone
to know
Wilma told me that one night when Hello was at her
house, she asked him, “Who do you like best, Ursul or
Anne?"
He said, "It's none of your business."
But as he was leaving (they hadn't talked to each other
the rest of the evening), he said, “Well, I like Anne better,
but don't tell anyone. Bye!" And whoosh... he was out
the door.
In everything he says or does, I can see that Hello is in
love with me, and it's kind of nice for a change. Margot
would say that Hello is a decent sort. I think so too, but
he's more than that. Mother is also full of praise: "A
good-looking boy. Nice and polite." I'm glad he's so
popular with everyone.
- The Diary of a Young Girl,
Anne Frank
O Anne shows that he plays hard to get.

Answers

Answer: Anne shows that he likes her, but he is shy.

Explanation:

Anne knows that Hello likes her and she can see it in everything that he says and does. She gets further proof when Wilma told her about the night that Hello was at her house and she asked whether he liked her.

His immediate and subsequent replies showed that he did indeed like Anne but was too shy to talk about it which was why he asked Wilma to keep it a secret. If he wasn't shy, he would not have snapped at Wilma and would not have asked Wilma to keep his declaration of feelings for Anne a secret.

In 2018 I had to go to The state finals for Chess.  My team and I were getting ready to start.  I had 4 Matches along with the others.  They were afraid I would knock them out of the finals.  I was nervous about that as well.  I went with the instructor to the room I was supposed to go to.  I checked his rating and I was like WHOA what.  His rank was like 2789 and mine was only like 247.  By the time I was finished with the Match I was walking out half-half I got stalemate.  The next 3 matches went really well. I was able to defeat them and I brought my time good but, We had a member who lost 1 match and it got us to fourth place.  The team might not have got a winning position but, We all walked out to the car happy we made it that far.

In the 2nd semester i meant my best friend Xavier. having a best friend in the same class as me, made things worse. I got in trouble a lot that the whole semester, I had been suspended twice and gotten a dozen write ups. my grades were the exact same as before, and I couldn't manage to turn in some of my assignments,

In my last semester I needed to fix my behavior and not being able to turn things in, so my art teacher Mr Dejonge helped me out. if i didn't get in trouble the whole week I would get 30 mins of extra gym time with a freind. that really fixed my behavior, also  My grades got better because  I wasn't getting introuble as much or talking when the teacher was giving instructions. I still never really fixed my not turning in assignments,  'though it got better'.

I will forever be grateful to Mr Dejonge.

What did White People think about Blacks during Slave Times in America?

Answers

That the African American had no rights .

Jeebus. Okay so basically white people tended to believe that people of color were lesser than them, or not to even be classified as human. They were thought of as property, something to be bought and sold. Due to works of literature like the book a history of Jamaica, (1700’s), that, while having no real substance or research, tended to justify these ideals. The introduction of slavery to America was through farming practices, then they became more of a status symbol, then they truly became thought of as commerce, especially as slavery practices quickly veered from awful to horrific. This way of thinking was so horrifically ingrained in American that large shadows of it can still be seen in the form of general racism today.

That I may show you in deed my contempt for that by which you live, I waive the two millions of which I once dreamed as of paradise, and which I now despise. That I may deprive myself of my right to them, I shall come out from here five minutes before the stipulated term, and thus shall violate the agreement.”

How does the casual language dante and shay use when they speak to eachother affect the way readers perceive them

Answers

Answer:

D. It makes them seem real and relatable.

Explanation:

Jason Reynold's "Eraser Tattoo" revolves around the story of two young lovers and the change in their relationship. The story follows the short duration of the young lovers as they part to stay in different parts of the country, while also represented by the 'eraser tattoo' that the man got as a representation of their love.

The young lovers, Dante and Shay are shown saying their goodbyes after Shay had to leave as she's moving to North Carolina, far from New York where she had been staying with Dante. And in their conversations, they use casual language which demonstrates and makes the readers relate to their situation.

Thus, the correct answer is option D.

Answer:

D. It makes them seem real and relatable.

Explanation:

Everyday people use casual language to communicate as opposed to formal language which is mostly reserved for business settings.

Do not confuse the beginning of the story with the end. How does this make you feel?
Explain in 5 sentence's.

Answers

Answer:

One shouldn't mistake the beginning with the end. There may be a plot twist that just creates the beginning of a story and you may mistake the story ending before you read the rest and miss some of the important details. Some also mistake the end with the beginning and that is also not good because if you're at the end, you're at the end and if you think its the beginning you'll be stuck with on a cliff with no way of knowing the rest even though there is no rest of the story. However, mistaking the beginning for the end can be bad, it can be good also. For instance, if one mistakes the beginning for the end they can create a beginning on their own which can boost creativity skills and gain more imagination.
