This is because these plants are able to associate with bacteria that can capture atmospheric nitrogen and place it in the soil, in the molecular form that all plants can absorb. This allows plants to have the necessary nutrients for their growth, reduces environmental pollution, decreases spending on agricultural production, promotes correct levels of nitrogen for human consumption and allows agricultural products to be healthier.
