Which founding belief was inspired by the Magna Carta?
A. rule of law
B. Representative democracy
C. Divine right of kings
D. Natural law

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

A. Rule of Law

Explanation:

From this principle of the rule of law and equality before the law comes the inspiration for declarations of human rights. Historically, we can point to the Bill of Rights of 1689 in Britain, the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen of 1789 in France, and the Bill of Rights in the United States in 1791. For 18th-century political thinkers like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, Magna Carta was a potent symbol of liberty and the natural rights of man against an oppressive or unjust government.

Answer 2

Rule of law is the founding belief was inspired by the Magna Carta. Hence, option A is correct.

What is meant by Rule of law?

Rule of law is the principal and law in which all the people, institute, individual are accountable and responsible for the law. Publicly announced. Similarly, enforced independently decided upon. And in line with universal human rights standards.

A procedural feature of the rule of law is that the laws must, for instance, be the supreme law of the land, be widely known, evenly enforced, and decided by an independent judiciary. The punishment of a congressman for breaking the law serves as an example of the rule of law. This would serve to demonstrate that everyone is responsible and bound by the law.

Thus, option A is correct.

Due to the way the Electoral College is set up, it's possible to win the presidency
without winning the majority of popular votes. Because of this, a debate has sprung
up as to ways to possibly fix this system (assuming it needs to be fixed). What
arguments can be made for getting rid of the Electoral College?

What arguments
could be made for keeping it as is?

Answers

Some arguments for getting rid of the electoral college, is that the electoral college is not fair to urban areas because they are under represented. Rural areas like Wyoming are over represented, but areas like California is underrepresented even though it has the most electoral college votes. Therefore the electoral college is not fair to urban areas.

An argument to how we should keep the electoral college, is how it makes sure uneducated people do not have much of a say. The way electoral college works is that regular citizens vote, and that sways the views of the electoral college people. The electoral college is very educated and bases their decisions off of what the people voted on. This ensures that the uneducated still have a say, but are not making the complete decision. This is good because it ensures the people electing our president are educated and understand what is happening.

These two arguments are debatable and I do not completely agree with either of them, but I studied about both sides and these are two possible arguments.

China's one-child policy

The one-child policy was a program presented by the China government to limit the population by having one child.

The policy addressed the growth rate of the country's population, which began to grow too rapidly.

Overpopulation would create less area and resources for people, which would increase the extraction from the environment.

how did you imagine islam, and after learning about islam what were the differences?

thank you, have a wonderful day <3

Answers

Hello, I am a Muslim myself and I was born into Islam, so I am a devoted follower since young age. Most people imagine Islam as a concept, a place where people are trapped and suffer from giving up time to pray, to fast, to not have pork or drink alcohol, to not dress inappropriately, to not listen to music or watch TV and numerous other things. But that’s the most outrageous thing a person can think. Islam is beautiful religion, it brings peace and reassurance and it is my safe place. It has restrictions, and I would never once be angry or annoyed about them; I am not a perfect Muslim, I commit Haraam (forbidden) acts and sin, I listen to music, I sometimes don’t pray and I don’t respect my parents at times. But that does not define Islam, Allah (God) is the most forgiving being to exist, and I know it is wrong and I repent and I know that I will be forgiven. If I was a non-believer, I would imagine Islam as a intricate religion, with people extremely dedicated: I would be ashamed to say, but I would think it’s a very claustrophobic “cult”. But being a part of such a life-changing religion, I am grateful to be born into an Islamic family. Muslims attend local Mosques to learn about Islam, so I was lucky to have such a useful place to learn and become at one with my faith. I also take Religious Studies as one of my GCSE exam options, and half of the course is Islam. If I was a non-believer, I would most likely know little about Islam but the Secondary School curriculum does teach some of Islam in depth. It isn’t as small as it is made out to be and it has so much more to it than students are taught. The difference is us, as citizens in a majority White-based society, we do not take Islam seriously; it is a place of piety and it is pure. Being a part of Islam is the most satisfying and relaxing part. Allah (our only God) brings each and every Muslim so much self-assurance and we feel so protected and in the hands of the most amazing existence. You learn that Muslims see things in a different way, we are grateful and caring and gentle and look after everyone. We accept and respect and are genuine humans. But more than anything, we are free. It’s ironic. But we are the most free at heart.

That’s the difference in how Islam is imagined and then perceived after learning about it in greater detail.

I hope this helps and was insightful, please take time to read and think about this and I apologise for the length.

islam is a free space, for people to feel safe.
