Hi. Although you present a text, you didn't have any questions about it. This prevents me from giving you any answers. However, to try to help you, I'll explain what this text means. I hope this is helpful for you.
The text above is intended to present facts that prove that Yan Li Meng's allegations should not be taken seriously, as she does not have sufficient academic and professional background to address them. Yan Li Meng is a researcher who claimed to have proof that the coronavirus was a virus that was purposely developed in a Chinese laboratory. Although her allegations have strengthened arguments that accused china of having provoked the pandemic, in addition to reinforcing xenophobic ideas, a research on Yan Li Meng shows that her academic background does not have the adequate elements to reach this conclusion. Yan Li Meng has no training in virology and has not even worked in science, which shows that her claims have no scientific basis, are not true and serve only as fake news.

Which sentence demonstrates correct parallel structure?
The meal was not only delicious but also very filling.
The meal was not only delicious and also filled you up.
The meal was not only delicious but very filling as well.
Answer:
The sentence which demonstrates correct parallel structure is:
A. The meal was not only delicious but also very filling.
Explanation:
Parallelism is the repetition of the same grammatical structure inside a sentence. The use of parallelism makes a sentence sound better and more organized, making it easier to understand.
Among the three sentences we are analyzing here, the one that shows correct parallel structure is the first one. Let's point out the reasons:
- The structure "not only . . . but also . . ." already asks for parallelism. The blanks after each part are supposed to filled in with similar structures;
- "Delicious" is an adjective and, for that reason, we will need another adjective afterwards in order to make it parallel. "Filled you up" can be eliminated here, since it is not an adjective. "Filling" is the correct choice, but the third option places "as well" after it. It is best to use "but also" before it.
Describe two strategies that can help you make better use of the revision stage of the writing process.
Answer:
1. Understand It First
Before embarking on any editing, read your content first. If you start editing before going through it, you might have to go back and undo some of the revisions.
This can occur because you haven’t grasped the flow and style of your content yet, probably because you’re focused on looking for mistakes rather than understanding the content. Yes, you can actually miss the point of your own work—it’s easy to think you’ve said something you haven’t because you meant to say it, or to veer off in a direction that isn’t quite right for what you’re trying to accomplish.
Therefore, read the content first, then edit. Pretend that you’re a reader who’s never seen this piece before and look at it with fresh eyes.
Then and only then can you understand what needs to be done in your revision.
2. There’s a Difference between Editing and Proofreading
Editing is not about searching the text for typos and incorrectly placed punctuation marks. It’s all about strengthening the story, paragraphs, and sentences.
Editing is then followed by proofreading.
Even though it’s okay to do a little proofreading while editing, it’s important that you do a full revision focused on editing and then another one on proofreading.
3. Justify Yourself
Each statement, question, point, and word should have a reason for being in your content. If it does not have a reason to be there, simply get rid of it. If it does not add value to your writing, remove it.
Try this out sometime: take a piece of your writing and challenge yourself to slash 10% of the words. Just delete them.
Then go through and cut another 10%.
Then another 10%.
At the end of this exercise, you’ll have 30% fewer words—but you should have the same meaning. Your piece will be leaner, more concise, and more clearly effective.
Do this a few times with various short stories, articles, blog posts, or other writing and you’ll start to get a sense of where your crutch words pop in and how you can streamline your writing to be more effective from the start.

Which sentence in this excerpt from the Declaration of Independence indicates that the colonists did not wish to remain hostile toward Great Britain in the future?
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people. Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
Answer:
Another Brainly Answer
Explanation:
Answer:
The answer is indeed the last sentence of the excerpt: We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
Explanation:
This excerpt starts by stating that Britain's relationship with America has become unbearable. It claims that America's appeals to Britain's kindness and magnanimity have been ignored by the latter. It is thus the duty of America to declare itself a free country. The last sentence, however, brings a tone of benevolence - probably the same benevolence America expected, but never received - when it states there is no need for hostility. If Britain wants there to be war, then the two countries shall be enemies. If peace is to be had, then they shall be friends. It is that simple. America will not permanently view Britain as its rival - that will only happen if extremely necessary, but it is not wished for.

If Grendel wins, it will be a gruesome day;
he will glut himself on the Geats in the war-hall,
swoop without fear on that flower of manhood

What is novel?
A novel is a relatively long work of narrative fiction, typically written in prose and published as a book. The present English word for a long work of prose fiction derives from the Italian: novella for "new", "news", or "short story of something new", itself from the Latin: novella, a singular noun use of the neuter plural of novellus, diminutive of novus, meaning "new".
According to Margaret Doody, the novel has "a continuous and comprehensive history of about two thousand years", with its origins in the Ancient Greek and Roman novel, in Chivalric romance, and in the tradition of the Italian Renaissance novella. The ancient romance form was revived by Romanticism, especially the historical romances of Walter Scott and the Gothic novel.

What is a Symphony?A symphony is a long work of Western classical music, usually written for orchestra. Although the term's origins can be traced back to the ancient Greek era, it has come to refer to a wide range of things.
However, by the late 18th century, it had taken on a more common meaning: a work that typically consists of multiple distinct sections or movements, frequently four, with the first movement in sonata form.
A symphony orchestra typically consists of a string section, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, with anywhere from 30 to 100 performers in total.
Symphonies are notated in a musical score that includes all of the instrument parts. Orchestral players play parts for which there is only notated music for their own instrument.
Thus, the correct option is B.

I was diagnosed with ADHD about a year ago and I decided not to go the medicated route because in my head I thought if I had been living with it my whole life why do something now. That's when I didn't realize how bad it really was. Now I am waiting to receive a prescription so I can focus and pursue my goals and dreams easier. In case some of you didn't know how ADHD affects daily life as well as succeeding in life, I literally can't focus on something that does not interest me, I zone out often, I'm always stressed ( partial anxiety issues but that's off-topic ), it affects my sleeping schedule as well, etc...
