The consequences of Germany signing the Treaty of Versailles were that the colonies were taken, war guilt was there and compensation was also involved.

With the signing of the treaty, World War I came to a conclusion and a close to the situation of war that had endured between Germany and the Allies since 1914. The treaty of Versatility stated that Germany has agreed and taken full responsibility for the war and will give compensation to the other countries and will retract their army and commanders that were present in their country.

According to this treaty, Germany was made to take the gilt of the war and would give compensation to the countries, and to that, Germany had to take a loan from another country and that took a toll on its economy as it was a huge sum.  

Germany's economy was shattered and in a state of bankruptcy. They took a lot of time to get over it and have a stable economy.
