Answer:
Ginsburg argued for the petitioner. A jury convicted Billy Duren of first degree murder and first degree robbery. Duren alleged that the selection of this jury violated his Sixth and Fourteenth Amendment right to a trial by a jury chosen from a fair cross section of the community. Specifically, Jackson County allowed an automatic exemption from jury service for women upon request. While women made up 54% of the population in the Jackson County, only 26.7% of people summoned from the jury wheel were women. Defendant had an all-male jury selected from a panel of 48 men and 5 women. The Missouri Supreme Court affirmed the conviction, questioning the validity of Duren’s statistics. The court also held that even if women were disproportionally excluded from jury service, the amount of women who participated in the process was well above constitutional standards.

can someone write a 4-5 argumentive essay about teachers being allowed to carry guns, if that doesnt work then do schools having armed guards.
Answer: I strongly believe teachers should have easy access to a gun or other firearms. With proper training, a gun could save lives in an emergency or life-or-death situation. School shooters are rare, but in the event where you need to save your life, a gun is the perfect solution. If teachers were trained to use a gun properly, he/she could save the lives of students, and themselves, in a responsible manner. However, a gun wouldn’t just be granted upon them. A teacher running around with a free gun could be dangerous to the students or other staff members. We would need to be careful with the teachers access to gun use.
Answer:
I think that teachers should have access to firearms for protection ONLY. School shootings happen daily and having teachers who are trained and know how to properly use a firearm could save lives. The firearm should be locked in a cabinet or a spot that only the teacher knows with some sort of lock that only the teacher knows how to unlock. Theyre should also be some sort of contract the teacher signs that makes them agree to only use the firearm in absolute emergency.
School shootings happen daily all over the world and they take many lives. Not all shooters are caught and brought to justice having some sort of protection can lower the chances of the shooter escaping. The students would most likely feel safer with some sort of protection agaist an intruder. There have been 22 school shootings this year. There have been 114 school shootings since 2018. Think how many less shootings can happen if there is some sort of protection against the shooters.every year, more than 3,500 children and teens are shot and killed and 15,000 more are shot and injured. An estimated 3 million children in the US are exposed to shootings per year. Witnessing shootings—whether in their schools, their communities or their homes–can have a devastating impact. Children exposed to violence, crime, and abuse are more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol; suffer from depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder; fail or have difficulties in school; and engage in criminal activity. The children of this generation are going to be the next people running the world is that really what we want for our future as the human race?
Of course proper training is required before firearm use. Proper training can ensure the students and staff safety that way no accidental injuries happen. Proper training can also prepare the teacher/gaurds for how the firearm will react when going off, and can ensure that no damages are done to the building. As ive prevously mentioned that shootings in anywere can cause trauma and that can serously affect someone mentally and affect there future. Training and education on the firearms can save many lives and prevent many injuries.
The firearm should obvously kept out of reach of the students, either hidden in a hard to reach place that only the teacher knows and/or have some sort of lock that only the teacher knows how to unlock. This will ensure the safety of the children, a firearm in the hands of children can be dangerouse. There also needs to be a sighned document agreeing to only use the firearm in absolute emergency and if that agreement is broken the school should be allowed to sue. if the students have to put trust in the teacher so should the rest of the school and school district/system.
There are risks, as we've seen kids are smart, smarter than we let on. There is alot of trust to put it in not only the teachers but the kids as well. however the pros outway the cons by a long shot, and I personally think its worth taking that risk.
