The National flag of Nepal is triangular in shape , which consists of two juxtaposed triangular figures with crimson colour in the background and deep blue in the borders. In the upper part , there is a white emblem of the crescent moon with eight rays visible out of sixteen and in the lower part , there is a white emblem of sun with twelve rays. The crimson colour in the background represents harmony while the blue colour in the border is the symbol of peace and friendship. The emblem of sun and crescent moon indicate that Nepal and Nepali people will exist independently and proudly as long as the sun and moon exist in the universe.
