Ya que muchos animales habían visto partir a la leona hacia la estepa, ella decidió contar, cada vez que se lo preguntaran, que no había pasado ningún animal que valiera la pena el día anterior, pero cuando llego al abrevadero, lugar donde casi todos se reunían, todos hablaban acerca de cómo las hienas habían atrapado un hermoso bisonte el día anterior y de una manera muy sencilla, puesto que en grupo habían realizado arremetidas escalonadas, de tal forma que cuando un miembro de ese equipo se cansaba, otro lo reemplazaba sin espera, la leona al darse cuenta que el bisonte en cuestión era al que ella había dejado escapar, juró nunca más hablar de más frente a los demás animales que seguramente tenían habilidades que ella ni imaginaba.
