Answer:

Explanation: u can find the answer there
If u and y are two variables such that
du
= 4v - 3. and u = 5 when v = 2,
du/dv
find u in terms of v.
Answer:
5
Explanation:
The value of u is 5 in term of v by putting the value o v which is 2 in the formula that is du = 4v - 3. Putting the value of v = 2 we get, du = 4(2) - 3. --- du = 8 - 3. ---- du = 5. we are able to solve the question due to the presence of v value. If the v value is not present then we can't find the value of u in term of v. So we can conclude that the value of u in term of v is 5 if we put the value of v in the formula.

What would happen is rabbits from a warm, southern climate were moved to a cold, northern climate?
Answer:
They would freeze and it would be hard to find food because they are not accustomed to the different climate. They would also be easy prey because of the environment change they are not equipped for.
Answer:
The answer would be that they would adapt by growing thicker coats.
Explanation:
If hair growth is related to temperature then the rabbits will grow more hair to adapt the cold norther climate.

What are some featured species in the deep sea?
What is so fascinating about our deep blue sea is the fact that there could be so many more species than the ones we know about. Our oceans are so vast and deep anything could really be down there. I don't exactly know what you mean by this question but I can give you some deep-sea creatures that have been discovered, although some sound equivalent to science fiction, they are in fact real.
- Giant Isopod: they are a species of aquatic crustacean. Their appearance is that of a much larger bug, similar to those "rolly polly" bugs. They reside in the deep sea scuttling along the seabed and ultimately harmless to humans.
- Vampire Squid: This creature looks similar to many other squids such as their squid-like bodies and tentacles, however, what makes this squid unique is its black webbed skin (resembling a vampire cape) and its red eyes. The vampire squid's body is covered in photophores that produce light to attract prey.
- Frilled Shark: This is an odd-looking shark that lurks in the deep sea. It looks almost pre-historic and can grow up to a length of 7ft with a typical shark fin further down its back as well as the well-known rows of sharp teeth. Its gills appear to be frilled hence its name.
- Anglerfish: These deep-sea creatures are pretty commonly known. They are frightening-looking fish with long thin teeth lining their mouth and the notable luminescent fin ray that it uses to lure other fish to eat.
So these were just some notable deep-sea creatures that I have heard of and I wrote some information about them. Hope this helped :)

what is the role of microorganisms in food preservation?
Answer:
Preservation usually involves preventing the growth of bacteria, fungi (such as yeasts), and other microorganisms, A number of methods of prevention can be used that can either totally prevent, delay, or otherwise reduce food spoilage.

The distribution of a gene that codes for an RNA-binding protein called nanos localized in the anterior pole of the embryo and a transcription factor called bicoid localized in the posterior pole of the embryo
Complete question:
In Drosophila the anterior-posterior axis is established by
a. The distribution of the RNA-binding transcription factor called bicoid and the protein nanos localized in the anterior and posterior poles of the embryo, respectively
b. The distribution of a gene that codes for an RNA-binding protein called nanos localized in the anterior pole of the embryo and a transcription factor called bicoid localized in the posterior pole of the embryo
c. The distribution of a gene that codes for an RNA-binding protein called nanos localized in the posterior pole of the embryo and a transcription factor called bicoid localized in the anteror pole of the embryo
d. The distribution of the RNA-binding transcription factor called bicoid and the protein nanos localized in the posterior and anterior poles of the embryo, respectively
Answer:
c. The distribution of a gene that codes for an RNA-binding protein called nanos localized in the posterior pole of the embryo and a transcription factor called bicoid localized in the anterior pole of the embryo
Explanation:
When the Drosophila zygote develops, it goes through different stages until it gets to the blastula stage. At this point, there are pole cells that determine the axis of the organism -the anteroposterior and the dorsoventral axis-.
A two hours old embryo has already determined its two axes. A ten hours old embryo has already determined its body segments. And from there, each of them develops a structure that turns to be their identity.
Different genes determine the polarity of the egg.
Dorsoventral genes place in the superior and inferior parts of the egg and determine the development of dorsal and ventral tissues.
The same happens with anteroposterior genes.
The BICOID genes place in the anterior part of the egg and activate the hunchback genes that determine the development of the head and the thorax. The Bicoid mRNA distributes in the anterior region of the egg.The NANOS gene reprimes the hunchback genes, which promoted the development of the posterior structures of the body. The Nano mRNA places in the posterior region of the egg, and Nano proteins distribute in this area. The polarity genes of the egg are genes of maternal effects.
While the bicoid and nano genes are expressed in the ovary, the hunchback gene is expressed in the embryo. This last one is activated or inhibited by the foreign ones.
Bicoid and nano genes gradient regulate the expression of the gap, pair-rule, and segment polarity genes.

APC is a tumor suppressor and acts in the Wnt signaling pathway to prevent the TCF complex from turning on Wnt-responsive genes. Mice that lack the gene encoding TCF4 do not have the ability to maintain the pool of proliferating gut stem cells needed to renew the gut lining. What do you predict will happen in mice that lack the APC gene
Answer:
As APC is indicated as a tumor suppressor, lack of APC would lead to tumor development in the mutated mice.
Explanation:
The wnt signaling pathway plays an important role in controlling stem cell proliferation. Stem cells are present in the gut and other locations where they are required to be replenished after short intervals. In the gut, the gut epithelial is exposed to a very tough environment i.e. digestive acids. Thus it is replenished where the new stem cells originate from underlying stem cells.
Axin binding is the major component of this process. However, the unaffected axin leads to binding with a component termed TCF. TCF4 genes include cell cycle factors (such as myc) that encourage cell regeneration.
When the ligand is absent and APC is present, the axin bound with APC to form a team that directs and controls the cell regeneration.
Thus, if APC is not expressed in a cell, beta-catenin in the axin is available to bind to TCF inducing wnt response element genes that stimulate cell proliferation.
The result in tissue level is an enhanced rate of cell growth which leads to tumor.

The ability of an ecosystem to support life declines sharply after a population crash
among some of the organisms. A population crash among organisms with which
characteristic could have caused the sharpest decline?
A hibernation during the winter
B mobility on land and in the air
C conversion of sunlight into food energy
D different fur coloring in summer and winter
Answer:
c
Explanation: all other traits are irrelevant and could reply to any part o the food chain, c means that the plats have dropped, meaning that the things that eat the plants wot be able to eat the plants, (primary consumers)and the secondary consumers wont be able to eat the primary consumers, then the tertiary consumers wont be able to eat the secondary consumers. In simpler terms it would cause a chain reaction that would detonate the whole foodchain.
