Many Americans lost faith in the government as a result of the Watergate Scandal, which also severely harmed the credibility of the administration.

How did Watergate influence the views of Americans?

According to PBS, the attempt to undermine the American political system itself made Watergate "the worst scandal in American history." Reforms in campaign finance were implemented to reduce the possibility of any potential legal misbehaviour, but the actual harm was done to culture.

Many Americans' deep mistrust of the government was sparked by Watergate. Americans have complained that presidents have been too strong and that there is a lot of room for unbridled power abuses. People started to have far less faith in politics and the government.

Scams are taken seriously, and people will suffer the consequences they deserve. The Watergate incident led to Nixon's resignation, 69 government officials being indicted, and 48 being found guilty.

What are the contributions of Egypt/ Africa in terms of architecture, medicine, etc…

Answers

Explanation:

Spanning over two thousand years, ancient Egypt was not one stable civilization but in constant change and upheaval, commonly split into periods by historians. Likewise, ancient Egyptian architecture is not one style, but a set of styles differing over time but with some commonalities.

The best known example of ancient Egyptian architecture are the Egyptian pyramids while excavated temples, palaces, tombs and fortresses have also been studied. Most buildings were built of locally available mud brick and limestone by levied workers. Monumental buildings were built via the post and lintel method of construction. Many buildings were aligned astronomically. Columns were typically adorned with capitals decorated to resemble plants important to Egyptian civilization, such as the papyrus plant.

Ancient Egyptian architectural motifs have influenced architecture elsewhere, reaching the wider world first during the Orientalizing period and again during the nineteenth-century Egyptomania.

The medicine of the ancient Egyptians is some of the oldest documented. From the beginnings of the civilization in the late fourth millennium BC until the Persian invasion of 525 BC, Egyptian medical practice went largely unchanged and included simple non-invasive surgery, setting of bones, dentistry, and an extensive set of pharmacopoeia. Egyptian medical thought influenced later traditions, including the Greeks.

Are you a socialized student give two reason

Answers

Answer:

Because I follow all the rules and regulations of society

Answer:

This is an interesting question. Because the term “socialized” could depend on the person, their context and environment.

In my case, I used to be a terrible at socialization. I have Asperger’s Syndrome, and a lot of my social responses as a child were, to put it lightly, less than favourable. I didn’t really know how to act around other people. I am also an only child, so I didn’t have much practice per se. I would talk about my favourite topic without knowing when to stop, have outbursts, be inappropriate, meltdowns, etc. stereotypical ASD stuff to say the least.

I then went to university and my perspective on people completely changed. I realized that me, someone with Asperger’s could not make the world change for me. I still have my quirks. I still have my oddities here and there. But my thinking shifted fundamentally by saying to myself “Not everyone will understand you, and that’s okay”.

I am also a Christian, so I believe God is the only One who can understand me fully and really love me for me. People can do that too, but on a much smaller scale.

Fast forward, I am now a university graduate and I can safely say I am a way more socialized person than I was years ago. I had to understand that not everyone will understand, but also I realized my ultimate worth isn’t based in how well I do socially. It helps you get along with people in life yeah, but it’s not the determining factor in what makes a person valuable or not. Just the fact a person exists makes them valuable :)

Do I still struggle and have deep life questions about this topic? Yes. Do I have it all figured out? Absolutely not haha.

Imagine you are a news reporter for the Daily News. Write a detailed report about the advances of Japan across Asia and the Pacific during 1941-1942. Write your opinion on the decision of bombing Pearl Harbor. Was it a wise decision? Why or why not? Use examples from the reading to support your opinion.

Answers

Answer:

Write a detailed report about the advances of Japan across Asia and the Pacific during 1941-1942.

Japanese expansion in East Asia began in 1931 with the invasion of Manchuria and continued in 1937 with a brutal attack on China. On December 7, 1941, Japanese planes attacked the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor External, Hawaii Territory, killing more than 2,300 Americans. The U.S.S. Arizona was fully destroyed and also the U.S.S. Oklahoma capsized. A total of twelve ships sank or were aground within the attack and 9 further vessels were broken. More than a hundred and sixty craft were destroyed and over a hundred and fifty others were damaged. The United States declared war on Japan the following day, December 8. On December 11, Nazi Germany, Japan's Axis ally, declared war on the United States. This forced the United States to enter a two-front war. Japan occupies a succession of countries, as well as the Philippines, Dutch East Indies, Burma, and Malaya. In June, US aircraft carriers defeat the Japanese at the Battle of Midway. The US begins a method of "'island-hopping", cutting the Japanese support lines as its forces advance. The surrender of Imperial Japan was proclaimed by Japanese Emperor Hirohito on August 15 and formally signed on September 2, 1945, ending years of bloody fighting in a ceremony aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay. It's known as V-J Day in some countries.

Write your opinion on the decision of bombing Pearl Harbor. Was it a wise decision? Why or why not?

Admiral Yamamoto didn't build a wise call on the bombing of Pearl Harbor because although he was doing well at the time since he hit them by without notice. Admiral Yamamoto Isoroku spent months planning an attack that aimed to destroy the Pacific Fleet and destroy morale in the U.S. Navy resulted in the destruction of 180 U.S. aircraft and more than 3,400 American casualties.

The Americans came back and attacked them worse than they had attacked the Americans in the first place. Pearl Harbor attack had failed in its objective to completely destroy the Pacific Fleet. In June 1942, this failure came to haunt the Japanese, as U.S. forces scored a major victory in the Battle of Midway, decisively turning the tide of war in the Pacific.

Explanation:

How is that?

The Modern State, whether absolutist or constitutional, relied on modern science to achieve its goals. Social Contract Theory, epitomized by Thomas Hobbes and John Locke, provided rational and humanist justification for the use of power by the state. Modern science, already rational, became more humanist, increasingly embracing the use of technology to better human lives. Science also increasingly came under the control of the state, although some science promoters resisted. The Enlightenment, with its rational and humanistic focus, seemed to embrace the growing role of the state, but only when the state was reformed in significant ways to achieve progress for humans and natural rights. Why did the Enlightenment come to embody the concept of reform of the modern state?

Answers

Answer:

Because the Enlightenment believed that concepts related to the reform of the modern state would promote more economic and political freedom to citizens.

Explanation:

Modern state is the term used to describe the union of European feuds, which were finalized at the end of feudalism. Modern states had a more abtangent political structure that benefits citizens, but this structure was still exploratory, mainly because of the people's duties towards the monarchy. It was necessary for modern states to undergo economic, political and social reform, so that citizens could actually have economic and political freedom. This kind of freedom was strongly advocated by the Enlightenment, who believed that they could contribute to the management of modern states if those states underwent this reform and people could, in fact, live fully.
