Answer:
Examining whole-body center of mass (COM) motion is one of method being used to quantify dynamic balance and energy during gait. One common method for estimating the COM position is to apply an anthropometric model to a marker set and calculate the weighted sum from known segmental COM positions. Several anthropometric models are available to perform such a calculation. However, to date there has been no study of how the anthropometric model affects whole-body COM calculations during gait. This information is pertinent to researchers because the choice of anthropometric model may influence gait research findings and currently the trend is to consistently use a single model. In this study we analyzed a single stride of gait data from 103 young adult participants. We compared the whole-body COM motion calculated from 4 different anthropometric models (Plagenhoef et al., 1983; Winter, 1990; de Leva, 1996; Pavol et al., 2002). We found that anterior-posterior motion calculations are relatively unaffected by the anthropometric model. However, medial-lateral and vertical motions are significantly affected by the use of different anthropometric models. Our findings suggest that the researcher carefully choose an anthropometric model to fit their study populations when interested in medial-lateral or vertical motions of the COM. Our data can provide researchers a priori information on the model determination depending on the particular variable and how conservative they may want to be with COM comparisons between groups. Out of 449 applicants for a job, 253 have over 5 years of experience and 62 have over 5 years of experience and have a graduate degree. Step 1 of 2 : What is the probability that a randomly chosen applicant has a graduate degree, given that they have over 5 years of experience
Answer:
The probability that a randomly chosen applicant has a graduate degree, given that they have over 5 years of experience, is 24.50%.
Step-by-step explanation:
Given that out of 449 applicants for a job, 253 have over 5 years of experience and 62 have over 5 years of experience and have a graduate degree, to determine what is the probability that a randomly chosen applicant has a graduate degree, given that they have over 5 years of experience, the following calculation must be performed:
253 = 100
62 = X
62 x 100/253 = X
6,200 / 253 = X
24.50 = X
Therefore, the probability that a randomly chosen applicant has a graduate degree, given that they have over 5 years of experience, is 24.50%.

Step-by-step explanation:
2.02b + 4.30 = 2.00b + 6.30
Answer: b = 100
Step-by-step explanation:
simplifying
2.02b + 4.30 = 2.00b + 6.30
reorder the terms:
4.30 + 2.02b = 2.00b + 6.30
reorder the terms:
4.30 + 2.02b = 6.30 + 2.00b
solving
4.30 + 2.02b = 6.30 + 2.00b
solving for variable 'b'.
move all terms containing b to the left, all other terms to the right.
add '-2.00b' to each side of the equation.
4.30 + 2.02b + -2.00b = 6.30 + 2.00b + -2.00b
combine like terms: 2.02b + -2.00b = 0.02b
4.30 + 0.02b = 6.30 + 2.00b + -2.00b
combine like terms: 2.00b + -2.00b = 0.00
4.30 + 0.02b = 6.30 + 0.00
4.30 + 0.02b = 6.30
add '-4.30' to each side of the equation.
4.30 + -4.30 + 0.02b = 6.30 + -4.30
combine like terms: 4.30 + -4.30 = 0.00
0.00 + 0.02b = 6.30 + -4.30
0.02b = 6.30 + -4.30
combine like terms: 6.30 + -4.30 = 2
0.02b = 2
divide each side by '0.02'.
getting: b = 100
A T-shirt stand on the boardwalk recently sold 6 purple shirts and 9 shirts in other colors. What is the experimental probability that the next shirt sold will be purple?
Answer:
2/5.
Step-by-step explanation:
To find the denominator, you add all of the times the experiment has been done.
6 + 9 = 15.
Then, since they're asking about purple shirts, you put that as the numerator.
Making it 6/15.
To simplify, divide both sides by 3, making it 2/5 simplified.
The solution is, 2/5 is the experimental probability that the next shirt sold will be purple.
What is probability?Probability can be defined as the ratio of the number of favorable outcomes to the total number of outcomes of an event.
here, we have,
To find the denominator, you add all of the times the experiment has been done.
6 + 9 = 15.
Then, since they're asking about purple shirts, you put that as the numerator.
Making it 6/15.
To simplify, divide both sides by 3, making it 2/5 simplified.
Hence, The solution is, 2/5 is the experimental probability that the next shirt sold will be purple.

Randy's gross salary is $760 per week. his salary is taxed at 16% what is his net salary
Answer:
$638.4
Step-by-step explanation:
Randy's gross salary (salary without any deduction) = $760
taxed rate =16%
Amount tax paid =tax% of gross income
=16/100 * $760
=$16*760/100
=$12160/100
=$121.6
net salary = gross salary - tax paid
=$760 - $ 121.6
=$638.4
Randy's net salary is $638.40
Randy's gross salary = $760 per week.
Tax paid on his salary = 16%
Net salary is the difference between the salary earned and the amount paid as tax. This will be:
= Salary - Tax
= $760 - (16% × $760)
= $760 - (0.16 × $760)
= $760 - $121.60
= $638.40

Which is the graph of the linear equality 2x-3y<12
Answer:
The graph below shows the answer to
2x - 3y < 12
Also shown as
-3y < -2x + 12
Step-by-step explanation:
You can rearrange the inequality by subtracting 2x from both sides to isolate the y.
You now have -3y < 12 -2x
which can be put into the standard linear equation form of
-3y < -2x + 12
Then you divide both sides by -3 to get singular value of y, which is something like
-3/-3y < -2/-3x + 12/-3
which is
y > 2/3x -4
Note: I switched direction of the inequality because you are dividing both sides by a negative value.

The manager of the dairy section of a large supermarket chose a random sample of 250 egg cartons and found that 30 cartons had at least one broken egg. let p denote the proportion of all cartons which have at least one broken egg. Find a point estimate for p and also construct a 90% confidence interval for p.
Answer:
The point estimate for p is of 0.12.
The 90% confidence interval for p is 0.0862 < p < 0.1538.
Step-by-step explanation:
In a sample with a number n of people surveyed with a probability of a success of [tex]\pi[/tex], and a confidence level of [tex]1-\alpha[/tex], we have the following confidence interval of proportions.
[tex]\pi \pm z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}[/tex]
In which
z is the z-score that has a p-value of [tex]1 - \frac{\alpha}{2}[/tex].
The manager of the dairy section of a large supermarket chose a random sample of 250 egg cartons and found that 30 cartons had at least one broken egg.
This means that [tex]n = 250, \pi = \frac{30}{250} = 0.12[/tex]
The point estimate for p is of 0.12.
90% confidence level
So [tex]\alpha = 0.1[/tex], z is the value of Z that has a p-value of [tex]1 - \frac{0.1}{2} = 0.95[/tex], so [tex]Z = 1.645[/tex].
The lower limit of this interval is:
[tex]\pi - z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.12 - 1.645\sqrt{\frac{0.12*0.88}{250}} = 0.0862[/tex]
The upper limit of this interval is:
[tex]\pi + z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.12 + 1.645\sqrt{\frac{0.12*0.88}{250}} = 0.1538[/tex]
The 90% confidence interval for p is 0.0862 < p < 0.1538.

NO LINKS NO FILES! Jill says that the rules for multiplying and dividing integers are alike. Do you agree? Explain.
Answer:
Multiplying and dividing fractions are essentially the same process which you multiply the numbers straight across and no need for common denominators. Except in division of fractions, the second fraction is flipped so that the denominator is on the top and the numerator is on the bottom (reciprocal).
Answer:
I do not agree
Step-by-step explanation:
because in multiply negatives, the 2 negatives turn into a positive or multiplying positive and negative (and vice versa) becomes a negative still so the rules of multiplying and dividing are not alike integers. (For dividing it is the same!)
