Reading a paper for grammatical mistakes and spelling errors. Option B is correct .

What is proofreading?

Proofreading is the process of reading a galley proof or an electronic copy of a publication to identify and fix any text or artwork reproduction problems. The final stage of the editorial process before publishing is proofreading.

A typeset version of a copy of a manuscript document is referred to as a "galley proof" (sometimes referred to as "a proof"). Typographical errors (sometimes known as "printer's errors") that occurred due to human error during typesetting may be present. A proofreader will often examine a portion of text on the copy, compare it to the corresponding portion of the typeset text, and then mark any errors (also known as "line edits") using the standard proofreaders' markings. Working simultaneously with two sets of information is how a proofreading service distinguishes itself from copy editing.

This is because the air at the surface has a high density due the shear weight of the other particles above. This however changes as you increase elevation as it means that there are less particles above and so would decrease the density.

This can affect humans as it means with every breath we would take in less oxygen (O2) this intern would mean that our bodies would be deprived of oxygen. Also that many of us have become accustomed to the atmospheric pressure from the surface and so many mountain climbers need to become accustomed to such altitudes.

An example of this being used in our lives is on the pressurisation systems on aircraft. This is because at the altitudes the aircraft fly at the air density is decreased and so the aircraft must be pressurised to help maintain the air pressure and density as on the surface

what facts from the article show that Whitman couldn't be a full-time poet?

Answers

This question is incomplete, here´s the complete question.

“O Captain! My Captain!” by Walt Whitman. Author Biography and Historical Context

Walt Whitman was born in 1819 in Long Island, New York and grew up in New York  City. He left school at eleven and began working to help support his family. Even  after he had left school, he was an avid reader and self-taught. He worked for a  newspaper, learning about the printing world and he also worked as a teacher for a  short period of time.

In 1855 he published the first edition of Leaves of Grass, a collection of poems.  Whitman published the first edition himself – fewer than 800 copies. The book  wasn‘t favorably accepted by the few who read it, but a copy of the book was sent to  Ralph Waldo Emerson, a well-respected poet and lecturer of the time. Emerson  wrote a glowing letter about the value of the book. Emerson‘s words of praise were  later reprinted on the cover of future editions of Leaves of Grass.

Even with Emerson‘s praise, the general public was not quick to accept Whitman‘s  poetry. The writing style of Leaves of Grass was not like other poetry of the time,  and the subject matter was somewhat controversial and difficult for the average  reader to understand. As you know, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was a popular  poet of this time period, and his poems were written with regular rhythms and  distinct rhyme patterns. But  Whitman‘s poems sounded different, and were  therefore largely dismissed or criticized. Read the first lines of Leaves of Grass:

I celebrate myself,

And what I assume you shall assume,

For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

I loafe and invite my soul,

I lean and loafe at my ease … observing a spear of summer grass.

In spite of the lack of public support, Whitman continued to write poetry. To support himself and his family, he continued to work in the newspaper business.  When the Civil War began, his younger brother joined the army. After learning that  his brother may have been injured in battle, Whitman traveled to the South to find  him. His brother had only suffered minor injuries, but through his travels, Whitman  observed the results of the battle injuries the soldiers endured. Seeing the wounded  and dying soldiers had a great impact on Whitman. He decided to move to  Washington, D.C. where he helped in an Army hospital.

In 1865, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. Whitman was a great admirer of  Lincoln and had even seen him on the streets of Washington. His death upset  Whitman greatly and, like many writers who struggle with emotions, he turned to  writing and poetry. Whitman published a book of poems about the Civil War  entitled Drum-Taps that included two poems about Lincoln‘s death: ―When Lilacs  Last in the Dooryard Bloom‘d‖ and ―O Captain! My Captain!‖

Whitman continued to live in Washington, on and off,  until 1873 when he suffered from a stroke. He then  returned to New Jersey to live with family. Whitman  received numerous visitors, many of whom were  famous writers of the time, and he continued to write.

Sadly, his only poem that was widely accepted and  reprinted in his lifetime was ―O Captain! My Captain! This poem is written in a more conventional style with  rhythm and rhyme that readers were familiar with.  Additionally, the subject matter struck a chord with  readers who could understand the conflicting emotions  of the poem.

Walt Whitman‘s poems helped shape America‘s identity; he loved writing about the  common worker and American life. But, his poetry remained controversial throughout his life. Some critics loved it, and some hated it. Regardless, Whitman‘s  poetry changed the way poems were written. Today, he is considered the father of  free verse poetry. Since Whitman‘s death in 1892, Leaves of Grass has been  translated into many languages and is prized as an important piece of American  Literature.

Answer:

Whitman´s lack of resources to be able to be a full-time writer can be first noticed on the facts presented about his background, having left school at a young age to work so he could help support his family.

His lack of resources is also shown by him having to publish the first edition of Leaves of Grass by himself, with a limited number of copies as a result.

Finally, the article shows that Whitman couldn´t be a full-time writer, as he had to work in the newspaper business so he could support his own family, and even ended up working in an Army hospital during the Civil War.

(6) Entropy is the tax we pay for borrowing Nature's power Discuss.

Answers

Answer:

This is a valid statement

Explanation:

Entropy is a thermodynamic entity which portrays the inaccessibility of a system in converting its thermal energy into work(mechanical work). In simpler terms, it is described as the degree of chaos or disorder in a system. It is also observed as the tendency of a system to depreciate over time. Entropy refers to the spontaneous dissipation of energy within a system; this trend is seen over time & as more processes occur within the system.

Taking nature as a thermodynamic system

It is a well-known fact that the world we live in is far from ideal (where everything happens in an orderly manner). The implication of this is that energy cannot be effectively converted into mechanical work (the efficiency of the processes that occur in earth system is always lesser than 100%); as energy moves from one form to another, more energy is dissipated. Human activities from day-to-day interferes with nature's energy; as we interact with nature, energy moves from one form to another (thermal energy into mechanical work).

From experimentation and observation in nature, it is evident that all systems operates at an efficiency much lesser than 100% (as earlier stated); this means that in every process, a certain amount of energy is lost/dissipated. Consider the illustration below:

"A refrigerator receives energy (electric energy) of 100 kJ, this energy is converted into thermal energy, the thermal energy is then converted and used to do mechanical work of 50 kJ."

N.B: The most efficient simple thermal system in the world has an efficiency of just a little above 50%.

This means that of the 100 kJ energy supplied to the system, only about 50 kJ was converted into mechanical work. The other 50 kJ is lost to friction and heat losses; this 50 kJ lost represents the entropy of the system. As the process is continually repeated, this energy loss to nature increases

Hence, it is said that "Entropy is the tax we pay for borrowing Nature's power"

Critically examine the assertion that patriarchy should be blame for gender equality in Ghana

Answers

Patriarchy is the social concept that puts the men of a population in privileged positions of dominance and leadership, to the detriment of the social welfare of women, who are placed as inferior, weak and with a deficient intellect, to take care of themselves and take their own decisions. As a result, a society ends up establishing an intense social inequality, where women not only lose social privileges, but also lose social and political rights that decrease their quality of life.

In Ghana, patriarchal society has not only placed women as submissive, it has also provided unacceptable situations for their lives. In Ghana, patriarchy places women at a loss for their families, which causes girls to be sold or given in marriage when they are still children and adolescents. These girls, therefore, are deprived of a quality education that would make them apt in knowledge and skills that would make them as capable citizens as men.

So is; We need to think on the basis of moral norms, to develop qualities such as empathy, justice and goodness to seek the good of the whole of society.

Explanation:

I really consider that if the justice of our country were governed by the moral code established by the Bible, that is, by the laws of justice and impartiality that God Jehovah gave to the Israelites in the past, there would not be so much injustice, so much death, so much, prejudice, war and crime, we really need a code of moral and ethical laws that first help society, that is, people develop deep love for God and for his laws, in turn this love should prompt us to cultivate love for our neighbor and to seek his good.

Justice and loyalty is due to people who really exercise it who are fair and who do not harm anyone, corrections and advice are necessary because we are all wrong, in this we can say that no law in the hands of men really It will be fair and equitable because by nature the human being, due to his imperfection, seeks power, his own good instead of the good of others.

The deuteronomy text shows us that only a nation in the hands of officials and righteous leaders who are guided by the rules of the bible, will really succeed in their mandates and really enjoy a free and happy nation, with equal conditions for all.

Recommendations and conclusions you can make on the issue of human rights violation (gender-based violence) to your peers.

Answers

Answer:

We can make recommendations and conclusions about gender-based violence for our peers.

Regarding the recommendations, we can present arguments such as: A person should not be judged based on their gender, but on their actions and skills, we should not respond to any situation with violent acts, but with kindness and respect, every living being deserves to be respected and treated with consideration.

In relation to conclusions, we can present arguments such as: Everyone has the same rights and duties regardless of their genre, color, sexual orientation and religion. They should not be treated violently because of any of these factors.

Explanation:

Gender-based violence is characterized by the fact that one group of people (usually women) becomes the target of violence by another group of people because of their gender. This is because the aggressors see these victims as inferior and weak, who must be submissive to the wills that the aggressors have and must be punished as they see fit.
