Answers

Answer:

B: A person can refuse to testify against himsef or herself.

The Fifth Amendment guarantees that a person has the right to decline to testify against himself or herself.  Thus, option second is correct.

What is Amendment?

The term amendment refers to the changes made in the law constitution or any kind of legislative bills. It includes the alteration made in the previous documents in order to correct or adopt new information with the recent scenario.

The Fifth Amendment preserves the right to a jury trial, defends persons from double penalty, forbids consciousness, ensures due process of law, and forbids the government from seizing private property without just recompense.

The Fifth Amendment guards against self-incrimination, ensures the privilege of a grand jury, and against "double punishment."

How can trade define a civilization?

I need this for a mastery grade paragraph assignment :,)

I'm just a little confused, please help

Answers

Answer:

Trading is a vital concept in the Civilization series, and it means the exchange of goods and services among the population. It is usually conducted by private entities, known as merchants, which occupy themselves with transporting goods from place to place, buying them in one and selling them in another. This way they help distribute goods from places they're being produced to places that need them, which is a vital part of the world economy.

1.) Describe how the Aztecs were an amazing culture.
2.)Describe how the Aztecs were a horrible culture.
3.) In what ways was the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl involved in the story of the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs?

Answers

Answer:

Many of the 16th century sources that describe ancient Aztec customs do not come from impartial observers. Their authors, in fact, were especially interested in Aztec culture from a religious perspective, namely because they were Catholic evangelisers. Authors such as friars Sahagún (who is claimed to have been Mexico’s first anthropologist), Torquemada, and Motolinía, amongst many others, dedicated themselves to writing gargantuan works on everything from Aztec religious rituals to their astronomy and fine arts.

Question 9: List and briefly describe the different stops Magellan makes on his historic voyage. Include ships lost and Magellan's death.

Question 10: Explain the importance of at least one other person who traveled with Magellan.

Answers

I’m not positive about the first one but I believe he noticed their culture and lack of weaponry. He also noticed that they were friendly and generous. I’m assuming this is important because it meant he could kidnap them. Columbus had the goal of conquering the tribe during his second voyage. The second voyage brought European livestock and settlers to America. During his final voyage, he governed the island of Hispaniola. Columbus had thousands of Arawaks (the people of the tribe that lived there) kidnapped and being forced to find gold. Columbus was a successful explorer because as a result of his voyages, there was a massive exchange of cultures, ideas, animals and diseases. I’m not sure about number four. Columbus was brutal and oppressive towards the native people. He kidnapped many of them and killed them for standing up to the Spanish or not finding enough gold. Columbus was arrested due to treating the natives harshly and along with being arrested he lost his title as governor. Magellan possibly made it as far as Moluccas. Five ships and 270 men sailed to West Africa, then Brazil. They then searched the South American coast and went towards the Pacific. Only three ships made it, one was wrecked and one was deserted. On April 27, 1521 Magellan was killed by a poison arrow on the island of Mactan. I am also unsure of number ten. I really hope this helped, sorry I didn’t know all of it.
