All members of the animal kingdom need sleep to help their brains function properly. The brain needs a minimum number of hours to rest and
organize itself. The number of hours depends on age. For example, human babies need an average of 14 to 16 hours of rest daily, while adults
can function on about 6 to 8 hours. Scientists are not completely sure what the brain does during sleep periods, but they do know that the brain

Read the excerpt carefully. How does the author
develop the idea that Banksy is part of a historical
pattern?
O By comparing Banksy's art displays to Duchamp's
displays
By defining the problem Banksy had and how
Duchamp solved it
O By describing events in chronological order in the
development of the trend
By providing an example of an earlier artist doing
something similar to Banksy

Answers

Answer:

D. By providing an example of an earlier artist doing something similar to Banksy

Explanation:

I just guessed and that's the right answer

By providing an example of an earlier artist doing something similar to Banksy does the author develop the idea that Banksy is part of a historical pattern. Hence, option D is correct.

What does Banksy's art represent?

Banksy's sarcastic stenciled drawings are arguably the best example of postmodernist art. They combine sheer vandalism, narcissistic posturing, irreverent humor, vibrant imagery, lousy painting, and left-wing politics.

Philanthropist, anti-war, and a revolutionary, he uses his work as a medium of expression to vehemently express his displeasure with particular facets of society, political circumstances, or even actions made by global leaders.

Without Banksy, other urban painters might have sold their works and made it to galleries, but thanks to his movement, street art received quick attention, which boosted the success of other artists in street art media. A new artistic movement was started by Banksy.

Thus, option D is correct.

During one of the Circle meetings, what does Cole explode in anger and shout out about?

Answer:

Cole shouted about the beating he had endured and suffered from his drunken father.

Explanation:

Ben Mikaelsen's "Touching Spirit Bear" revolves around the story of 15-year-old Cole Matthews and his punishment of being banished to a remote Alaskan island for beating up Peter Driscal. The story deals with themes of isolation, punishment, taking responsibility for one's actions, etc.

As per his banishment, Cole's "trial" was done by the Circle Justice, not to punish him, but to help him heal from his anger. It was during one of these meetings that Cole burst in anger at the others, shouting about the beating he had endured at the hands of his drunk father.

Choose 2-3 anime characters that remind you of the main characters (Steve, Charlie, Les Goodman, Pete Van Horn) in The Monsters are Due on Maple Street. Write a paragraph for each anime character telling readers why you chose them and how they are like a certain character in the play. Remember, you must be descriptive! give a picture of your anime character.

Answers

Answer:

The Monsters are Due on Maple Street

(not sure whether you’re supposed to put an introduction paragraph so ill just cut to the information)

In The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street, Steve Brand is the main person to control the mob and act calmly in their situation. In addition to being open minded, listening to Tommy in the beginning of the story and continuing to listen to others' claims, he has a calming influence that puts everyone at bay for most of the story. Another character that is known for being a strong leader and handling situations efficiently is Tōshirō Hitsugaya. Tōshirō Hitsugaya is a fictional character from Tite Kubo's manga and anime series Bleach. Hitsugaya is a captain of the Gotei 13's 10th division or squad, a group of Soul Reapers that oversee the flow of souls and protect Soul Society, an afterlife realm, in the anime. Toshiro has a very mature and headstrong personality. He is a leader who believes in hard work and handling situations properly and efficiently, much like Steve Brand. This leads me to believe that they have similar character dynamics.

The second character I will be discussing is Charlie. Charlie is a very paranoid character who is very quick to point fingers and accuse people of being the imposter among them. The anime character that reminds me of Charlie is Seiya Ryuuguuin, from the anime Cautious Hero. Seiya’s entire character dynamic is that he is cautious and paranoid about every situation. Like Charlie, he is quick to look at a situation and becomes paranoid of it, most of the time over preparing and thinking of every possible outcome. Charlie, everytime something peculiar happened in the neighborhood, immediately came to the worst conclusion, that they were the imposter. As a result, seeing that paranoid personality immediately reminded me of the main heroine of Cautious Hero, Seiya Ryuuguuin.
